This international Investment Bank is looking to open its doors to atalented IPV Analyst with strong knowledge of financial instruments used in capital markets, in particular equity and commodity derivatives. They are offering theopportunity to provide cutting edge training to the candidate in order to fast-track them to managerial hires. The candidate will be joining this Models and Calibration Group which is responsible for providing independent verification on the accuracy of the mark to market values for all specific global markets. This London team isexpanding rapidly, and due to the strong links between other locations, will beopportunities to re-locate/travel.
Responsibilities of Independent Price Verification Analyst role:
-Work on the monthly price testing and analysis of Equity and commodity derivatives. -The role will involve using existing proprietary pricing tools and independent market data sourced from either Brokers as well as data vendors like Reuters and Bloomberg. -Supporting/building and maintaining relationships between the Trading Desks, Model Validation and Risk. -Understanding of price modelling techniques for PnL and risk, including analysis of mathematics and underlying assumptions. -New trade verification - Daily validation of booking of exotic and structured trades in equities, commodities and alternative investments.
Requirements of the Independent Price Verification Analyst role:
-Looking for PRICING SPECIALIST in the EQ and commodities area but may consider other areas -Strong academic credentials, completing aBSc, MSc or equivalent in mathematics, physics, engineering or comparable education. -Previous experience obtained in a Bank / top financial house in the areas of Price Verification, Quantitative Research, Valuations, Market Risk Management or Trading. -Requires top graduates up to 3 years experience (salaries are dependent on experience) -Looking at candidates in the UK and European market.
